Art&Culture@Consulate in collaboration with the Indian Diaspora Council International (IDC) will be celebrating the diversity and achievements of the Indian Diaspora on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Consulate’s Ballroom at 6:30 P.M. The occasion marks the 100th Anniversary of Abolition of Indian Indentureship.

The program includes cultural performances and cuisine from various countries characterized by Indian Indentureship explicitly Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Suriname, St Vincent& the Grenadines, Grenada, South Africa, Mauritius and Fiji. Persons of Indian origin (PIOs) have made tremendous progress and outstanding achievements in all segments of society in their countries of birth and residence, contributing to the respective countries’ economic, political, cultural and social development. The event is a tribute to their perseverance and success.
